We recently chatted with Kristen Hanson, co-owner of Simple Surrogacy, a full-service surrogacy agency based in Dallas, Texas. Kristen generously shared how her and co-owner Stephanie Scott’s personal experiences led them to found an agency created from an insider’s perspective, how uniquely rewarding it is to help others achieve their dream of parenthood … and much more.  1.    What inspired you to work in the fertility industry?

Simple Surrogacy is co-owned by Stephanie Scott, a three-time previous surrogate and Kristen Hanson, a three-time previous donor. When we founded Simple Surrogacy, we wanted to offer the industry an insider’s perspective with professional industry leading experience, which did not exist. Having this insider’s experience gives Simple Surrogacy a personal insight into the process which we use to help our Intended Parents.

2.    We’d love to hear the Simple Surrogacy story – can you share some highlights of the journey starting with opening in 2002?

Simple Surrogacy is a full-service Surrogacy Agency based in Dallas, Texas. We were founded in 2002 to assist couples and individuals with the desire to achieve a family through third party assisted reproduction. We were founded on one simple principle: to provide our clients with the highest standard of care in the surrogacy industry at an affordable price. Creating families through Surrogacy and Egg Donation since 2002, our agency offers a fully rounded knowledge of the experience. We are personally rewarded by every single birth in our program, but especially in helping those who had difficulties in their journey, or those to whom we have donated services pro bono through the Men Having Babies Program. Helping those who would otherwise be unable to have children fulfills our dream and goal of a family for everyone.

4.    What is your advice for intended parents just beginning to consider surrogacy?

Research! Interview as many agencies and previous clients as possible- speak to people who have used the programs you are interested in and look for a personal connection.

5.  Is there anything else you’d like to share about Simple Surrogacy?

Every coordinator and staff member has experienced the surrogacy journey first hand – as a previous surrogate, intended parent, or donor. Every client gets these years of personal experience when they experience a journey with us!
